TrainSMART’s How to Facilitate Virtual Training Workshop addresses the issues surrounding media use for training with an audience that is dispersed – sometimes globally.

The objective of this workshop is to learn how to facilitate and design training that is engaging and teaches best practices for delivering virtual classroom training.

In order to achieve this, participants will first learn how to leverage the tools available for the most impact. Additionally, they will gain an understanding of the challenges and opportunities that are specific to facilitating virtual classroom training.

By the end of the workshop, participants will have a better understanding of how to design and deliver engaging, impactful virtual training experiences.

Many live online events are ineffective due to poor design or poor execution. The attendees are there to check a box, but the attempt at changing their behavior in the desired direction falls short.

This workshop has (6) 2.5-hour sessions with intermingled activities and individual coaching. With enrollment limited to 12, it is designed for anyone tasked with the development of learning events that are meaningful, practical, and beneficial to those who attend and their organization.

Following the training, you should be able to:

  • Describe the essential elements of a training program
  • Apply different methodologies to program design
  • Demonstrate skills in preparation, research, and delivery of strong content
  • Use an instructional design model
  • Create a training program proposal

Pre-work

  • You submit a one-paragraph summary of the training project you plan to work on during the live virtual training.
  • You complete an Everything DiSC® Workplace Profile .   The results are shared with you and then leveraged within the live virtual training.
